Home Time ("we", "us", "Home Time") is run by Alex Marland. This policy explains what personal data we collect through home-time.co.uk, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect

If you use the enquiry form on this site, we collect: your name, email address, school name, your role, and whatever you tell us about what you're hoping to get from working with Home Time.

If you email us directly, we'll hold your email address and the content of your message.

We do not collect any information about pupils or children through this website. The enquiry form is intended for school staff and leaders only.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and give you information about Home Time's services. Our legal basis is legitimate interest, responding to a direct enquiry you've chosen to make is a reasonable, expected use of your data.

If we ever email schools who haven't enquired first (direct marketing to a school's own address rather than a named individual), that's separately permitted for business-to-business marketing under UK PECR rules, and every such email includes a simple, honoured opt-out.

Who has access to it

Only Alex Marland. We use two processors to run the site and respond to you: Netlify (hosts the site and processes form submissions) and Google Workspace/Gmail (email). Neither uses your data for their own purposes. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless we go on to work together, in which case relevant records are kept as part of that working relationship and its own agreed terms. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, see "Your rights" below.

Cookies

This site does not currently use cookies or similar tracking technologies. If that changes (for example, if we add analytics or embedded video), this policy will be updated first, and a consent banner will be shown before anything non-essential loads, in line with UK cookie law. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. To exercise any of these, email alex@home-time.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top whenever this policy changes.
